Meet the Owners
Casey and Jeneva were both born in Montana – Casey west of the divide in the Bitter Root Valley, also known as “Log Home Alley”, and Jeneva east of the divide on a cattle and sheep ranch. As a baby, Casey was lulled to sleep by the growl of his dad’s Kenworth logging truck. He stacked his first log at 15, and helped his family build their log home during high school. During and after college he worked in the log home industry, starting Black Dog Timber Products five years ago with Jeneva. When you work with Black Dog, you benefit from Casey’s 17 years of experience. He’s actually scribed logs, run the mills, and built the homes. He understands the special engineering that goes with log construction. As a result of this experience, your project will proceed as smoothly as possible. Jeneva brings the work ethic and practicality of her ranching background to the management of Black Dog Timber Products. Cows and logs may be very different commodities, but the basic business management practices are still the same. While she spends most of her time at the office, Jeneva also manages to put in some yard time at the drill press or the peeling rack.
Buck joined Casey and Jeneva’s family in December of 2002. Abandoned
as a pup in a box at a truck stop with his littermates, he was adopted
from the Missoula Humane Society. He is a Black Lab X and the inspiration
for Black Dog Timber Products. Buck’s great passion in life is
riding in Casey’s pickup, and he’s well known by Black Dog’s
customers and suppliers. |
